Health, Safety & Environment Officer

 

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Quality & Environment Manager and various departments to support, maintain, and drive continuous improvement across our internal management systems, accreditations and licences.

Key responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identify and manage Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety risks
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including Science Based Targets records
  • Ensure compliance with internal management systems and licences
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Conducting internal audits and assist with external audits where applicable
  • Facilitate, and contribute to the Taylor Safe and Emergency Control Committees

About You:

You’re a proactive and positive team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Ideally, you bring:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to Food Safety, Environmental, and WHS legislation, regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in auditing, incident investigation, or injury management (highly desirable).
  • The ability to build strong relationships across all departments and levels on site.
  • A solutions-focused mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement and successful accreditation outcomes
