The Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Viticulture and Winery Operations, with a dotted line to the Human Resources Manager (Head Office) the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for all operational elements of the Human Resources function at the Winery site. It will sit on the Auburn Management team, providing advice to managers on the full employee lifecycle to all Winery departments (vineyard, viticulture, administration, operations, maintenance and cellar door). 


Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide local recommendations that support business unit objectives 
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR practices, systems and procedures across all elements of HR
  • Encourage and facilitate the resolution of grievances, underperformance, misconduct etc in a practical and commercial way whilst maintaining a positive working environment  
  • Oversee full recruitment cycles for the winery site  
  • Ensure consistent application of HR Policies, Procedures and Company Values 

 

About You

The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing/production environment with highly developed interpersonal skills. An ability to build rapport with people across the business will be critical to success and effectively partner with all teams.

On your first day you will ideally have:
  • Approximately 5 years experience in a HR Generalist style role
  • Working and applied knowledge of the FairWork Act, Awards and familiarity of working with Enterprise Agreements
  • Return to Work Coordinator experience (highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR (University or TAFE)
