The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Inventory & Customer Service Manager is a critical national role that supports the Sales function and ensures our customers stock levels are maintained. Leading the customer service department the role will train and develop current capability, drive performance improvement and be strategically minded, finding new opportunities and creative solutions to further efficiencies in inventory control.

Some day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Working closely with demand planning and sales teams to ensure the right amount of stock is delivered at the right place at the right time
  • Stock allocation from our winery in the Clare Valley to customers and Third Party Logistics Providers (3PLs) nationally
  • Managing relationships with our 3PLs against agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Coordinating regular stock takes
  • Oversight and involvement in the efficient and accurate processing of sales orders
  • Liaising with our sales team to keep them up to date with product information for our customers

About You

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience in inventory and logistics management
  • Experience using an inventory management/ERP system (SAP)
  • Proven track record of driving excellence in 3PLs
  • A tertiary or TAFE qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar (highly desirable)
  • High attention to detail
  • Prior experience in people leadership
  • Worked in the FMCG industry (not essential but desirable)
