The Role


Reporting to the Finance Director the Supply and Demand Analyst ensures accuracy in demand forecasting by working cross functionally and leveraging a range of data sources, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to enhance the forecast accuracy of our customer’s needs. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Production and Finance the role is pivotal in our team and creates a genuine impact on business operations. 

Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Liaising with Sales, Marketing and Finance to ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Providing input to the production/supply planning team to develop inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs.
  • Coordinating and communicating customer action plans with supply planning
  • Providing input into annual volume planning (budgets and forecasts) and managing process of compiling longer-term sales forecasts required for vintage make planning
  • Chairing S&OP Meetings
  • Using and maintaining the demand planning software as the primary forecasting tool and for inventory optimisation at state locations
  • Reviewing forecasting accuracy with the sales team

About You

 

Primarily you will be driven, enthusiastic and enjoy working with data to provide intelligent commercial solutions. You can connect dots through your findings to create a positive impact on Taylors’ supply and demand forecasts. You will understand the impact your input has on the sales and profitability of the business and strive for success.

 

On your first day you will ideally have:

  • At least 2 years experience in supply/demand planning in FMCG. Liquor industry desirable but not essential
  • Ideally tertiary education in Supply Chain, Business or Finance
  • Advanced Excel, BI Systems, ERP (SAP preferable) & MRP
  • Advanced reporting skills
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate the story it tells
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • High levels of motivation, results driven and team orientated
