Vintage Cellar Hands

2027 VINTAGE CELLAR HANDS
Casual | Auburn, Clare Valley SA | January to May 2027

About Us
For three generations the Taylor family has been making wine in the Clare Valley. Every vintage, our cellar team turns the fruit from our vineyards into the wines we’re known for. It’s the busiest time of our year, and we need reliable people who can keep pace, work safely and take pride in getting it right.

The Role
As a Vintage Cellar Hand, you’ll be part of the team that takes fruit from intake through to tank. The work is physical and fast-paced, and no two shifts look the same. Your tasks will include:

  • Receiving and processing grapes, including crushing and pressing
  • Pumpovers and fermentation management
  • Dipping and sampling tanks and fermenters
  • Transferring wine between tanks
  • Preparing and making additions and finings
  • Yeast inoculations
  • Barrel work and forklift operation
  • Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas

What You Bring
We’re looking for reliable people who show up on time, work safely and take pride in doing the job properly. You’ll work well as part of a team and won’t be afraid to speak up if something doesn’t look right. You’ll also need:

  • Basic maths and reading skills to follow work orders and record sample results
  • Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends and night shift, across the full vintage period
  • A current High Risk Work licence for forklift (LF) is a bonus
  • Previous cellar or vintage experience is great, but not essential if you’re keen to learn

Our values of Respect, Integrity, Performance, Partnership, Innovation and Recognition guide how we work together, and we look for people who share them.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Wine allowance
  • Full site induction and on-the-job training
  • PPE supplied
  • A full Clare Valley vintage with a well-known family winery
